Once again the curtain is falling on what has been another busy and eventful year.

As 2018 comes to an end, what a year it has been.

In the central west of NSW, we have been fortunate to have seen storm rain fall over the past 2 months.

The Coonamble district is largely destocked. Two things will need to be evident before restocking. The season will need to break properly and the price will need to be at an affordable level

When I first landed in Orange 30 odd years ago an Old Bloke told me “put your jumper away on Boxing Day and make sure it’s handy on the 1st February”

In 30 years, I cannot remember a time when the agricultural industry was as buoyant right across every sector in general terms and with such a positive outlook for many of the commodities involved.  

Whale Coast Realty, Narooma continued to have a very good year and our overall sales match the previous two years, in what is now a turning market.

2018 was a year in Bendigo (Central Victoria) that held a lot of promise, but never delivered. The season started solidly compared to our Northern Pastoral neighbours who were experiencing severe drought.

Most producers in southern Queensland will not be afraid to say good bye to 2018. The weather has not been kind, to say the least.

Another year nearly over, how quickly these years come and go. An older gentleman once said to me many years ago that life is very short. I doubted that at the time, but now to me, he is right.

Hanging over East Gippsland, Monaro & south Coast is a big carrot.
